FAQ
-
Are you Still Teaching Full Time?
At the moment, no. After years in the classroom, I stepped away from full-time teaching to focus on content creation, speaking, and mentoring. I still teach part-time as an adjunct, but most of my time now is spent sharing lessons beyond the classroom walls.
-
What do you speak about?
I speak on a range of topics including education, leadership, burnout and balance, personal growth, and parenting—with a little humor and heart mixed in. Whether I’m talking to teachers, students, administrators, or parents, my goal is always the same: connect, uplift, and offer something useful.
-
Why "Teaching Mrs. H"?
“Teaching Mrs. H” started as a classroom identity, but it’s grown into something more. It represents the ongoing process of learning—for my students, my audience, and myself. I may not be in the classroom full-time anymore, but the teaching (and learning) never stops.
-
Are you still involved in education?
Absolutely. I teach part-time, coach speakers and educators, and create content that supports classroom teachers, students, and leaders.
-
What inspired you to leave full-time teaching?
I loved teaching, but I knew I had more to give beyond the walls of my classroom. I wanted to create, speak, and connect in ways that supported teachers, students, and communities on a broader scale.
-
Do you collaborate with brands or other creators?
Yes! I love partnering with brands and creators who align with my values—especially those in education, travel, and family-friendly experiences. I will not collaborate or share information that I do not find adds value to my community. Reach out via the Contact page.
-
Is your content just for teachers?
Not at all. While I definitely speak teacher, my content also connects with parents, learners, curious explorers, and anyone looking for authentic, uplifting, real-life storytelling.
-
What audiences do you speak to?
Teachers, students, administrators, parents, education leaders, women’s groups, faith-based audiences—you name it. If they care about learning, growth, or leading with purpose, we’ll get along.
-
Do you offer faith-based speaking?
Yes. I speak to LDS and interfaith audiences about purpose, resilience, motherhood, identity, and using your voice in meaningful ways.
