Before I became a high school English teacher, I took a detour through the corporate world—think meetings, spreadsheets, and endless busy work. But something was missing. I craved real connection, the kind of impact that happens when you’re face-to-face with students, not just a screen full of data. So, I left the corporate grind behind and stepped into the classroom, ready to inspire, challenge, and learn alongside my students.

Teaching wasn’t just a job; it became a passion and a journey. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—mentor, coach, Disney club sponsor, and storyteller—all while juggling life as a wife to my high school sweetheart and mom to five incredible kids. Balancing all that has taught me that learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door—it’s everywhere. From exploring new cultures on cruises to diving into British and Tudor history, I’m constantly discovering new ways to connect stories and experiences to the lessons that matter.

Now, as a former teacher turned content creator and speaker, I’m on a mission to share the kind of learning that happens outside textbooks—the unexpected, the adventurous, and the downright fun.
